چکیده
Molecular and metabolomic tools were used to design understand the biodegradation of phenolic compounds in real industrial streams. Bacterial species isolated from an wastewater treatment plant a phenol production factory identified using molecular techniques. Next, potential most promising strains was analyzed presence by-product containing phenol, alfa-methylstyrene, acetophenone, 2-cumylphenol, 4-cumylphenol. A bacterial consortium comprising Pseudomonas Alcaligenes assessed for its ability degrade stream (PS). The adapted itself increasing levels compounds, roughly up 1750 ppm PS; thus, becoming resistant them. In addition, exhibited grow PS repeated batch mode processes. Results untargeted analysis culture medium suggested that bacteria transformed toxic into less harmful molecules as survival mechanism. Overall, study demonstrates usefulness massive sequencing constructing consortia can efficiently biodegrade complex PS. Furthermore, it improves our understanding their capabilities.

In this study, the degradation potential of five polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) by aerobic mixed bacterial cultures was investigated. Microorganisms were isolated from hydrocarbon contaminated soils of Shadegan wetland located in southwest of Iran. The degradation experiments were conducted in liquid cultures. PAH or PAHs concentration was 100 mg/L at the beginning of degradation e...
متن کاملBiodegradation of Ochratoxin A by Bacterial Strains Isolated from Vineyard Soils
Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a mycotoxin with a main nephrotoxic activity contaminating several foodstuffs. In the present report, five soil samples collected from OTA-contaminated vineyards were screened to isolate microorganisms able to biodegrade OTA. When cultivated in OTA-supplemented medium, OTA was converted in OTα by 225 bacterial isolates. To reveal clonal relationships between isolates, mole...
